ASPIRE studied the security and resilience of public infrastructure, in particular water treatment, water distribution and electric power. The project combined real-world testbeds with formal attacker models and simulation of cyber-physical attacks on water distribution networks. It also organised community activities such as a competition on attack detection algorithms and gamified ICS security exercises.
